Two Arrested In Relation To Murder Of Melbourne Francis


Friday, October 10 – The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force is confirming that two men were arrested in relation of the murder of Melbourne Francis which occurred on May 9, 2013 at Long Look Sticket.

As a result of the ongoing investigation by detectives of the Major Crime Team, a 28-year-old male has been arrested in Tortola and a 23-year-old man was arrested by local officers in St. Kitts on behalf of the RVIPF.

The family of Mr. Francis is being kept updated as to developments by an RVIPF Family Liaison Officer.

Head of the Crime Division Detective Superintendent Alexis Charles said, “This is a significant step in what has been a long and complicated investigation.”
