Officers of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force gathered around at Peebles Hospital early this morning to share their grief as news of Inspector Leonard Fahie’s passing was circulated.
Commissioner of Police Mr. David Morris and several senior officers were present to give support to the family of Inspector Fahie as well as officers of the Force.
“We are all shocked by the sudden, untimely passing of Inspector Fahie. I like others was shaken by the news. Since the RVIPF is a family, we grieve together and that is what we did this morning at Peebles Hospital,” he said.
Whilst at Peebles Hospital, the Commissioner along with other senior officers of the Force extended condolences to the wife and family of Inspector Fahie and offered any needed support.
The Commissioner shared his appreciation for the condolences extended by the public on behalf of the RVIPF on the passing of Inspector Fahie. “I am grateful for the many who called and shared their sympathies. It is evident that the community recognises that we all hurt in times like these. The support of the public is very encouraging,” he noted.
Inspector Fahie was pronounced dead upon arrival at Peebles Hospital early this morning. The cause of the Inspector’s death is still unknown and enquiries are ongoing on behalf of the Coroner.
