As the RVIPF Major Crime Team continues its investigation into the murder of Yeiral Batista Sena, a forensic post mortem was undertaken by Dr. M. Schuman of the Miami Dade Medical Examiner’s Office on Saturday, 5th July.
The post mortem determined that the cause of death was a gunshot wound.
Mr. Batista Sena’s family and H.M. Coroner have been updated.
The body of Mr. Batista Sena was discovered by hotel staff in the room of a Road Town hotel on 1st July. The police attended and an investigation commenced.
Mr. Batista Sena resided in St. Thomas and was travelling to the Dominican Republic via Tortola when he met his death. Major Crime Detectives believe that the victim had planned to fly out to the Dominican Republic on 1st July. Mr. Batista Sena had been on Tortola since the 25th June.
Detectives are seeking any information from anybody who met with Mr. Batista Sena or has any information that will assist the investigation into his murder.
