Plantations Uncovered/ One Questioned In Robbery On V.G.


Thursday, July 7 – Virgin Gorda Police Officers are actively pursuing the cultivators of two marijuana plantations uncovered this week in South Valley as well as the perpetrator who held up a male Virgin Gorda resident and took his jewelry and an iPhone last week Wednesday.

Some 2,297 was confiscated from one plantation and 683 from a neighbouring plantation were confiscated by the officers. No one has been charged as yet in relation to the find.

One person of interest was arrested and discharged in relation to the robbery.

The victim stated he was exiting his vehicle at home around 11pm when a young man pointed a gun at him. The perpetrator then removed the items. Minor injuries were sustained as the victim fled the scene.

The suspect is described as about six feet tall with braided hair. At the time he was wearing a red scarf over the front of his face with his eyes visible.
