The curtains will come down on the Hauteville 5K Series on Saturday with the crowning of the overall series champion and the national champion.

The race will start and end at the A. O. Shirley Grounds. Registration will commence at 6:30 a.m., with the race going off at 7 a.m.

Runners will exit the track, head to the Port Purcell Roundabout and return, then head down to the Queen Elizabeth II Park for the turnaround to finish at A. O. Shirley Grounds.

A prize giving ceremony follows, where awards will be doled out in all male and female age divisions as well as overall male and female winners.

Clif Struiken and Julius Farley will be battling for the overall title, after each pulled off victories during the course of the season. Clif and his wife Kim, became the first husband and wife to win a road race, when they pulled off the feat in the Pariquita Beast race earlier this month.

Katrina Lindsay is expected to claim the overall title after being on top in several races.

The awards ceremony will be highlighted by Mrs. Robinson’s Banana Bread treat.
