Man Pleads Guilty, Placed On Remand For Firearm Possession


Thursday, March 3 – Carlos Gumbs of Cane Garden pleaded guilty before the Magistrate’s Court this morning to the charge of keeping a firearm without a licence and was remanded.

Following a body search of Gumbs and the scooter he was riding while in the yard of the Magistrate’s Court at Prospect Reef on Tuesday, officers recovered a 45 caliber handgun and magazine in the seat of the scooter.

He was remanded until his sentencing on 15th April 2016.
