Man Charged With Grievous Bodily Harm


Victim Received Head Wounds

Monday, July 21 – Following investigations, Police have charged Bryan Daley, a native of Jamaica who resides in Greenland, with grievous bodily harm for the wounding of a man from the Major Bay area early this month.
Other charges in relation to the matter may be laid against Daley following advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Daley is alleged to have entered the house of a male in Major Bay and assaulted him to the point of unconsciousness.
Upon Police arrival at the scene, the victim was found conscious with abrasions to the head, complaining of pain to his shoulder. Police investigations later led to the identification of the perpetrator and a possible motive.
Daley was granted bail for his appearance at Magistrate’s Court.
The victim continues to receive treatment at Peebles Hospital.
