Tuesday, February 3 – Detectives from the RVIPF Major Crime Team today arrested and charged Kenyatta Boynes, 31, of Lower Estate with the murder of Paul Prentice and the attempted murder of Cadeem Thomas.
Both charges relate to a shooting incident that took place shortly after 7pm on Sunday, 14 December 2014 at Waterfront Drive, Road Town.
Boynes will appear before the Magistrate’s Court later today. The family of Paul Prentice has been kept updated by the Police Family Liaison Officer.
Commissioner of Police David Morris said, “As proceedings have begun I am constrained by law as to what I can say. However, I would like to thank those members of the public who have come forward to help my officers. I would particularly like to thank the local business community whose help with this matter has proved vital.’’
Major Crime Team Detectives are continuing their investigations into the murder of Yeiral Batista Sena on the 1 July 2014 and that of Nyron Farley Olliverre on 12 September 2014. Therefore, detectives again appeal for information that will help close these and other cases. All information received will be treated in the strictest confidence.
A reward of up to $100.000 is offered for any information that leads to the arrest and successful prosecution of the offenders for these murders.
