‘Health And Work’ Receives Positive Feedback From Men

During Men’s Health Week from June 9 to 15, the Office of Gender Affairs held a series of miniature health fairs at male dominated work sites in the public work force. Gender Affairs Coordinator, Ms. Lorolie Connor said that the health fairs received great responses by the 200 plus men who attended and participated in the various activities offered by the various community partners. Such partners included the Social Security Board, the Sandy Lane Centre, the Diabetes Association, Amara Spa, Blessed Hands Spa, and EAP. Men’s Health Week was observed under the theme ‘Health and Work’ which focused on increasing awareness of health concerns and improving male health by taking action in the workplace.
