Mr. Burke was born on 28 November 1942 and was described by relatives and friends as a humble, gentle and easy going persons with a welcoming and friendly spirit. He was a highly skilled upholsterer well-known for his ability to deliver a job well done in time and at reasonable price. Ervin was a very cordial person, always with a genuine smile on his face, always willing to help and offer advice; and indeed, these qualities earned him many friends in all walks of life.
He was married to Mrs. Rosina Burke for 49 years, and in tribute she wrote: “I am lost for words, this is not something I was prepared for. Now that you have gone on, I can’t imagine what my life will be like without you.”
The late Ervin Clarence Burke is survived by his: Wife—Rosina, Sons—Franklyn Burke, Toney Burke, and Randy Burke; Adopted Daughter—Yvette Jacob-Cornelius; Sisters—Dorine White, Priscilla Burke, Olive Bush, and Ionie Burke; Brothers—Neville Burke; and many other relative and friends too numerous to mention.
