Wednesday, August 20th –
Officers of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force today attended a West End, Spy Glass Hill, address in response to a report of concern for the welfare of a resident.
The caller reported a foul smell coming from the home of Garry Roy, 55. He had called at the property after Roy had failed to show up for work.
Police responded and forced their way into the home. There, they found the body of a Caucasian male motionless on the living room floor. The deceased was identified as Garry Roy and was later pronounced dead by Dr. Paula Trotman. He had apparently been dead for some time.
The Coroner has been notified as have members of the family of the deceased in the USA. Police enquiries continue, although initial reports suggest that there are no suspicious circumstances involving the deceased, who lived alone.
