Action will be taken against persons who park in designated spaces at the parking lot at the Central Administration Complex.
On 29 January, the Ministry of Communications and Works announced that vehicles of unathorised persons parked in designated places will be towed. This notice was posted on the social media page of Minister for Communications and Works, Hon. Mark Vanterpool.
It was stated that commencing this week, the vehicles found in the designated parking spots will be removed at the expense of the owners: “Members of the public and employees of the Central Administration Complex are being asked to respect all designated parking spaces in the parking lot at the Central Administration Complex. Commencing Monday, 1 February, all persons failing to adhere to this request will have their vehicles towed at their own expense,” the notice said.
On Monday, 25 January the Ministry also warned that parking is prohibited on the new road behind the Central Administration Complex. It was stressed that the road is a bypass and a not a parking zone. “Ministry of Communications and Works stays committed to reducing the traffic in the city of Road Town and enhancing the Territory’s Infrastructure.”
