July 11, 2014 (Sea Cows Bay, Tortola) – In the midst of a beautiful summer sunset with stunning Sir Francis Drake Passage views, Pavia Hospital and its affiliated Health System, Metro Pavia Health (MPHS), celebrated on Friday, July 11th, 2014 its inaugural and ribbon cutting ceremony of the Tortola, British Virgin Islands Patient Information and Customer Service Center. The new Customer Service Center location is at the Manuel Reef Marina in Sea Cows Bay in the also recently inaugurated VI Medical Clinic.
The ribbon cutting ceremony was officiated by Mr. José Luis Rodriguez, Pavia Hospital’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ronald Georges, Pavia Hospital’s BVI Partner of the VI Medical Clinic, Mr. Héctor Boria, MPHS Administrative VP and Ms. Madeliza Ramirez, Medical Tourism Program Director. Also present were, MPHS faculty—Dr. Javier Cuevas, Pediatrics, Dr. Libertad Montañez, Internal Medicine and Dr. Jorge Negrón, Obstetrics & Gynecology— and various faculty staff from Peebles Hospital and BVI’s private clinics.
Several Pavia Hospital patients who reside in the BVI attended this inaugural event as well and expressed their appreciation to Pavia Hospital staff for facilitating and strengthening the Customer Service aspect and making the service easily accessible when in need of Extra Care.
Pavia Hospital has been servicing the Caribbean residents for over two decades making available its advanced medical services structured within a customized healthcare program which includes free ground transportation as well as discounted hotel and airlines rates. The BVI Customer Service Center office hours are 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The BVI Patient Coordinator, Ms. Tanesha Allen, can be reached at 284-343-5440.
