Tuesday, March 29 – Police recorded two scooter collisions over the weekend; one involving two scooters.
In the first collision late Thursday evening, two male riders of motor scooters were taken to Peebles Hospital after an apparent head-on collision near the Sunday Morning Well. Both riders are still in hospital and described as in stable condition. The scooters received extensive damaged.
In the second collision around midday yesterday, a male was taken to hospital following a lone scooter accident near the Queen Elizabeth Bridge at Beef Island. His condition is also described as stable. The scooter received extensive damage to its front end after hitting a nearby wall.
Police also attended a three-vehicle collision in the Beef Island area early Saturday morning. Two of the three drivers were treated at hospital. One was released and the other is in stable condition.
The cause of the collisions is under investigations.
