Merlin Ceasor’s Death – Homicide Investigation One Man Charged


Friday, June 17 – Police are now treating the suspicious death of a Merlin Ceasor whose body was found on Wickham’s Cay 1 on Saturday afternoon, June 4 as a homicide investigation and have charged one man for manslaughter in relation to the death.

The man is scheduled to appear in court this morning.

The body of Merlin Caesar, 33, a native of the Dominican Republic with no fixed place of abode, was recovered near the Fisherman’s Wharf close to the water’s edge. Based on the autopsy report completed on the body of Merlin Ceasor, his death was as a result of blunt force trauma to the head.

Police continue to ask for public’s assistance with information as to the whereabouts or any exchanges with the deceased, verbal or otherwise, on Saturday, June 4. Persons can contact detectives within the Major Crime Team directly at 368-5682 or call the RVIPF three-digit access number 311.
