Man Detained Is Charged With Possession Of Prohibited Weapon

Friday, December 19 – The male detained following continued investigation into the murder of Paul Prentice has been charged.

Kenyetta Boynes, 31, from Lower Estate has been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, ammunitions and possession of 16.8 grams of a controlled drug. He is scheduled to appear before the Magistrate this afternoon.

Officers from the RVIPF Major Crime Team supported by the Firearms Tactical Unit arrested four persons after an operation early Thursdaymorning. Three of those persons have since been discharged.

Searches of properties during the operation had uncovered the firearm, ammunition and controlled drugs.
