Hon. Fahie To Extend Homework Program To Help Students

First District Representative, Hon. Andrew Fahie explained that one of his post election plans is to extend the District homework program he started.  Hon. Fahie while speaking at his District campaign said: ‘Bambelela — Never Give Up’-that’s the name of the programme. When the First District, you my people re-elect your man on a mission we will expand this program to our secondary school children in the First District this year.”
The Bambelela — Never Give Up First District Home Work Programme was launched on Tuesday 14 January, 2014 at the Abraham Leonard Community Center.
The program was created for children in the District who are in dire need of extra help with their schoolwork. It runs from Monday to Thursday, 5:30pm to 7:30pm.  Transportation from the program is provided to specified areas in the First District.
In his 2014 District report Hon. Fahie said: “The programme will help complete not compete with what our schools are doing. These efforts by your man on the mission didn’t just started but unlike others who like to be in the spot light at all times, I let the actual positive results of my work speak for me.  Together we the people of the First District will save our future; our youth; because the greatest achievements are those that benefit others.  We will keep our hope alive; we will keep our children’s hope alive.”
