With the top four in each group of each age group all vying for a place in the quarter finals of the BDO Primary School League some teams will face the Easter Break sitting pretty, whilst others have an uphill battle on their hands

In Group B of the U7 bracket First Impressions now sit top on 17 points following a 4-0 rout of St Georges last week. Christian Vanterpool and Orett Kennedy both scoring a brace to secure the points

Montessori are second on 16 points, Robinson O’Neal and Cornerstone both have 13 to be third and fourth respectively and Rainbow sit fifth on five points

In Group A, Althea Scatliffe Primary remains second to Begrado Flax, who have an 8 point lead at the top. ASPS improved their goal difference with a 4-0 win over Leonora Delville Primary courtesy of goals from super striker, Johari Lacey, with another hat trick (3rd, 19th and 20th minutes). Haleem Jacely scored the other goal.

ASPS and the Seven Day Adventists both have 13 points, with ASPS ahead thanks to a +8 goal difference. BFEC have 24 points and Cedar School along with Enid Scatliffe Red share 4th with 10 points, although the Reds have a superior goal difference.

In Under 9 Group A action First Impressions beat St George’s 3-0 with Nathan Adams, Jalen Prentice and Jalen Lake all on the score sheet.

The win moved them 3 points clear of Cedar School Green atop the standings with 13 points, but they have played a game more. SDA and Rainbow are in third and fourth place with 7 points each

Rainbow had a narrow 1-0 win over St George’s with Nanthan Charles scoring the game’s only goal, but then handed their nearest rivals, SDA, a forfeiture win to make things tight at the top

Cedar Green had to stage a late comeback against the league leaders with Azarni Callwood and Gethin Jones scoring late for the Greens to secure a 2-2 draw.

Adams and Prentice scored for FIPS early in the second half to seemingly secure another victory, but the Greens fought back well and deserved a share of the points.

In Group B, Cedar White and ASPS both recorded wins to stay first and second in the standings.

Cedar were handed 3 points when Ebenezer Thomas/Agape forfeited and ASPS beat AMPS 2-0 thanks to talisman striker, Allen Martin, who scored a brace (20th and 29th minutes)

The wins give Cedar 18 points and ASPS 15 to cement first and second place, whilst further back in third is Robinson O’Neal on goal difference only from both Leonora Delville Primary and BFEC.
