ELENA ENG-GAMBAZZI

Famous Swiss Painter Captures "Nature's Little Secrets" On Canvas

For the past three months thousands European art lovers have enjoyed a special exhibition of paintings by
renowned Swiss painter Elena Eng. The theme of this exceedingly successful exhibition is "The Caribbean:
sea, blue, light, colours". Quite a few of Elenaís paintings depicting views and panoramas of the beautiful
British Virgin Islands have attracted very positive reviews by famous European art critics.

Sponsor of the exhibition is the Lugano branch of Morgan & Morgan which is celebrating its fifth
anniversary. The opening took place on 22 April at the Hotel de la Paix in Lugano, Switzerland, and
continues at the offices of Morgan & Morgan in Lugano till the end of July 1999.

Mrs Eng was in Tortola last November on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Morgan & Morgan Trust
Corporation Ltd in the BVI. At the time she was working on a series of fourteen paintings with a BVI theme
which had been commissioned by Morgan & Morgan. A contemporary impressionist Elena Eng captured
the beauty of natureís little secrets and then transferred them emotionally and visually on her most
captivating paintings.

Having held more than forty exhibitions throughout Europe (Mallorca, St. Moritz, Dortmund, Paris, and
Zurich), Elena Eng is well-known in Europe for her paintings featuring landscapes and portraits. She also
specializes in 'murales'. Her passion for exotic locales is mirrored in her many paintings now in famous
collections in Zurich, Montecarlo, Geneva, Milan and Paris.

Mrs. Eng's exquisite creations include a variety of mediums such as acrylics, copper, stained glass and
various textures that shed a vivid light or reflect an intense emotion. When she visited the Virgin Islands it was 'love at first sight', she says.

Seeing her paintings is believing her candid statement. In fact she has been able to capture the quintessential beauty of these islands in a most unique fashion.
