REGGIE GEORGES LAUNCHES NEW CD
Steel drum entertainer Reggie Georges has announced the release of his new compact disc recording "New Day".
Produced independently at Reggie's home studio in Road Town, the CD contains a total of ten original compositions, performed and arranged in a variety of styles: Calypso, Bossa Nova, Soca and Soul. Five of the songs are steel drum instrumentals, while the others contain lead vocals, covering such topics as 'the Banana Crisis' in the Caribbean, the uprising in Kosovo, Virgin Isles politics, and yes Love songs. The new album also features three local guitarists: John George of Virgin Gorda, and David Gee and Phillip Thomas of Tortola. This is Reggie's fourth locally produced CD in five years.
"New day" can be purchased at the Papillon Gift shop on Main Street, and Caribbean Horizon Studios (189 Main Street), and will soon appear in select gift and record shops.
