ALPHONSO NOW CHARGED WITH MURDER

       Friday, December 15 – A stabbing incident on November 26^th 2006 has now resulted in 38-year-old Desmond Alphonso of Fish Bay appearing before the Magistrate on 14 December where his attempted murder charge was withdrawn and upgraded to the charge of murder.

Alphonso has additionally been charged with Assisting Offenders, Conspiracy to Rob, Aiding and Abetting and Aggravated Burglary at Bobby’s Supermarket.  Alphonso was remanded at prison until his next appearance scheduled for January 23^rd 2006.

Chief Inspector Noble stated that the murder charge has been entered in lieu of the fact that 22-year-old Christopher Cleaveland Bailey succumbed to his injuries and died on December 6^th 2006.
