The BVI Amateur Athletic Association Youth and Junior Championships are set for 9 a.m. Saturday at the A. O. Shirley Recreation Grounds. The association will be selecting athletes to represent the territory at several regional competitions including the Easter Weekend Carifta Games, as well as the Leeward Islands Youth Championships and the CAC Age Group Championships later in the season. Under 20 athletes in particular to watch on Saturday include: Sanya Penn,(100/200); Chantel Malone, (High Jump, Long Jump, 400); Brittney Wattley,(200/400); Bianca Dougan (400/800) and Omar Jones (Javelin Throw. Already this season, they have joined the BVI elite ranks, by select territory in their respective events that a limited number of athletes have penetrated over the 35 year history of the BVI Amateur Athletic Association.
