Dead Woman found at Little Bay, Lambert Estate

Police are carrying out investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death of a young woman whose body was discovered at Little Bay Lambert Estate on September 21, 2004 about 11:05 a.m. 

Police received a report that the body of a black female in her mid twenties was lying between some rocks at the shoreline in the Little Bay area.  A team of Detectives, Forensic and Marine personnel visited the scene and carried out investigations.  The body was removed and was later pronounced dead by Doctor Lawrence.  The body has since been identified as 24-year-old Melissa Spence a native of Trinidad and Tobago. 

At this time, the circumstances surrounding her death are unknown, but police are treating the death as suspicious.  A Post Mortem to determine the cause of death will be conducted. Police is asking anyone who may have seen the deceased within the past week or who may be able to provide any information pertaining to the deceased to contact any member of the Criminal Investigation Department.  Any information given will be treated with the strictest of confidence.
