MAJOR DRUG BUST
Following an
undercover operation conducted jointly by U.S. Law Enforcement Agencies and the
Special Investigations Unit of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, four
individuals have been arrested and charged for being concern in the offer to
supply 300-500 kilos of cocaine. In addition, a loaded 9-mm pistol was
recovered.
Reportedly the
street value of the cocaine is approximately 4.5 to 7.5 million dollars. The
four men; 34-year-old Freddy Talien of St. Martin, 39-year-old Jose Gomez –
Garcia of the Dominican Republic, 45-year-old Greg Forbes of Tortola and
41-year-old Corentz Richardson of Tortola were formally charged at around 1:10
p.m. on October 12, 2004.
