Incest case: Cop interdicted from duty

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force has arranged counseling for the police officer facing incest charges along with four of his close friends and colleague officers, Police Commissioner Barry Webb said here Friday. The Police Information Office announced that the officer was arrested April 28th.

Speaking during a press briefing at Police Headquarters, the Commissioner said the officers are traumatized by the allegation and he has arranged for chaplain Pastor Wayne Hoyte to work with them.

He also said the alleged victim, the officer’s 17 year old daughter, is also suffering and has been receiving counseling as well.

Commissioner Webb declined to name the officer, only to say he was a serving officer, but he has now been interdicted from duty pending trial. He also said from a work perspective, he valued this officer
