Road Town, Friday 5 March -- Police are confirming that a man was killed this afternoon.

Approximately 1:00p.m. today, Police received a report that a man had been injured at the Sunday Morning Well. On arrival at the scene, Police met a small gathering of people and ascertained that the victim, 33-year-old Troy Winter was transported to Peebles Hospital.

Further enquiries were conducted and it was reported that Mr. Winter was in critical condition. With information received, Police proceeded to the Electrical Corporation at Long Bush where 40-year-old Andy Turnbull, was arrested and taken to a local police station. A knife has been recovered.

Subsequently, Troy Winter was pronounced dead at 1:44 p.m. from a stab wound to the lower left side of the chest.

It has been reported that Andy Turnbull was sitting at the Sunday Morning Well when Troy Winter arrived in a vehicle; a fight ensued and as a result, Troy Winter received a fatal stab wound.

Police have received information from several eyewitnesses, however, should anyone have any further information, they are asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Unit at 494-3822.

At this time, Police do not believe that this incident has any connection with the murder of Jameal Greenacre and are still urging the Public to contact officers at 494-5088 or 494-6121 regarding this crime.
