Briefs BY DEAN GREENAWAY Softball rosters Due on February 5 The BVI Amateur Softball Association will hold a general meeting at 5:30 p.m. on February 5, at the Sports Division at which time registration fees, rosters and insurance fees for the 2004 BVI Softball Association season will be collected. Registration fees are as follows; Men's teams: $150 per team. Women's teams: $100 per team. School teams are free. New teams $200 per team. A mandatory $9 per player insurance fee must be paid at the time of registration. Cycling season kicks off on February 8 The BVI Cycling Federation will kick off its 2004 season on Sunday, February 8, with a lap race on the Dual Carriageway. The 7 a.m. race will start and end at the Festival Village Site. Cyclists will do laps between the Prospect Reef and Port Purcell Roundabouts. Motorists are advised to look out for cyclists to minimize accidents.
