40+ Softball team set for Disney World Tourney
A final fund raising drive will be held on Monday evening at Panchie's Food
Van at the Market Parking Lot in Road Town, for the Fryers 40+ Softball
which departs for the AAU Disney World tournament on January 21 and returns
on January 28.
BVI to play USVI in St. Croix in CONCACAF U-19 match
Following their 4-0 defeat Sunday to the U.S. Virgin Islands, both teams
will meet at St. Croix's Paul E. Joseph Stadium on January 24, in the home
leg of the series for the USVI, who is in the driver's seat after the
victory. The BVI would have to hold the aggressive USVI squad scoreless and
score at least five goals as the series overall winner advances to meet the
Dominican Republic in the second round.
V.I. Football Association tourney pushed back
All teams have confirmed their participation in the Virgin Islands Football
Association Tournament which will be hosted by defending champions Virgin
Gorda at the Valley Recreation Grounds. The tournament has been rescheduled
from Jan 24-25 to Jan 31 to Feb 1, to allow officials to attend the
CONCACAF match in St. Croix.
