Skeletal remains of two humans found at Lambert Beach
Police have confirmed that two skeletal remains were found in the Lambert
Beach area, side by side. Investigations revealed that on 13 February,
while workers were digging a trench for the purpose of laying pipes they
unearthed the skeletal remains, which appeared to be human. The scene was
examined and the remains collected by forensic officers for further analysis.
Police sources stated that the remains appear to have been buried for a
number of years and police are maintaining an open mind as to the
circumstances under which the bodies were buried. An anthropologist is in
the Territory to analyze and date the remains.
