 BVI High School Sports Day continues today

The second day of the rain interrupted BVI High School Sports Day events will continue today at 1:30 p.m. on the A. O. Shirley Recreation Grounds. The junior, intermediate and senior divisions of the 200 meters, Shot Put, 4 x 400 and 4 x 100 meters staff and invitational relays which were affected by rains will be completed. Flemming House—seeking its 10th title—increased its lead from 56 points after eight pre competition events to 124 over Carlisle at the end of the 800 meter events when rains came and wiped out the second day of the inter house competition. Flemming had 524 points to Carlisle’s 400. Lettsome follows with 322 and Lincoln has 317.

Leeward Islands trials cancelled

The second BVI Amateur Athletics Association Leeward Islands Youth & Jr. Trials meet that was scheduled for Saturday, on the A. O. Shirley Recreation Grounds has been cancelled.

Dasani 5K Series race on April 24

Race three of the Dasani 5K Series is scheduled for 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 24. The race starts and ends at the A. O. Shirley Recreation Grounds, with a turnaround at Prospect Reef Roundabout. Registration begins at 6:30 a.m.

Cable & Wireless Challenge April 25

The 40-mile Cable and Wireless Challenge Cycling race is set for 7 a.m. on Sunday, April 25. the race starts and ends by Scotia Bank.
