ELIZA TURNBULL TURNS 103

Chief Minister Dr. the Hon. D. Orlando Smith and Minister for Natural 
Resources and Labour the Hon. J. Alvin Christopher have conveyed special 
birthday greetings to Ms. Eliza Turnbull, who recently celebrated her 103rd 
birthday.

The Chief Minister and Minister Christopher, who is also the District Two 
Representative, visited Ms. Turnbull at her Round Hill residence at around 
1:30 p.m. today and chatted with her for about 15 minutes. Ms. Turnbull, 
who was spending time with members of the family, said she was delighted by 
the visit. Dr. Smith and Hon. Christopher said they were equally happy to 
have taken the time to be with her. They also presented Ms. Turnbull with a 
beautiful bouquet of flowers. At 103 years old, and the oldest known 
resident in the territory, Ms. Turnbull is still very much alert and full 
of spirit, as she was able to recognise the Chief Minister and even asked 
him about the well being of his mother. She turned 103 on Monday, October 6.
