Hannah’s Exotic wins Martin Luther King Jr. Tourney

Ronald McDowall’s 26 points and 18 rebounds lead the way as Hannah’s Exotic beat Purcell’s Rasville.com 56-50 in the Sea Cows Bay Basketball Club organized Martin Luther King Jr. Biddy Basketball Classic Sunday. Mark Kendall added 12 points and Donald Barry 10.

Vaughn Bassue topped Rasville.com with 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks. Deshawn Matthew and Jameal Farrell added 12 points each with seven and six rebounds. In Friday’s opening game, Exotic trampled West End’s Souljazs 48-17, behind McDowall’s 23 points and eight rebounds. Kyle Benjamin led the Souljazs with 10 points.

East End Long Look’s Judgment trimmed Huntums Ghut 39-36. Garvin Frett was Judgment’s leading scorer with 12. Saheed ‘AJ’ Collins had a game high 18 points for Huntums Ghut while Kyle Abrahams chipped in another 12.

Rasville.com got 25 points from Corey Buttler and 16 from Jameal Farrell to beat Sea Cows Bay Almean’s Ballers 58-25. Vaughn Bassue added another 12. Juneal Headley had the Ballers top score with 13.

On Saturday, Headley led the Ballers with 20 points in a 34-32 triumph over the Souljazs. Keon August added eight points and dominated the boards with 23 rebounds and seven steals. Doran Hodge and Kyle Benjamin were the Souljazs top scorers with 16 and 14 points respectively.

McDowall dominated the game in Exotic’s 58-25 whipping of Almean’s Ballers. He had 20 points and pulled 15 off the glass with five steals. Kendall added 14 with 10 rebounds and Joel Fahie 14 with five steals. Headley had 16 to lead the Ballers. Judgment forfeited to Exotic and Huntums Ghuts also forfeited to Rasville.com in the other games.
