George and Sky Hawks improves to 15-3

Virgin Gorda's Randy 'Chino' George and the Sauk Valley Sky Hawks whipped Carl Sandberg 71-51 in their conference opener. George had 12 points 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 blocks, helping his team improve to 15-3 and 1-0 in conference play.

Parillon has season's third triple double

Steve Parillon had his third double double in leading the Henderson state Riddies to a blowing out victory over the No. 2 team in the South Region. Henderson State showed whey they should be one of the most feared teams in the Gulf South Conference with an 83-64 win over Delta State. Six Reddies scored in double-figures with Steve Parillon leading the way with 13 points and he also had a game-high 13 rebounds to record his third double-double of the season. With the win, the Reddies improved to 10-2 on the season and 1-0 in the Gulf South Conference. The Riddies followed up with a 71-65 triumph over University of Arkansas-Monticello with Parillon again leading all scores with 20 points and 7 off the glass. The Riddies are now 11-2 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

Rangers to defend Virgin Gorda Football title

League champs Rangers await the winner of Saturday's Old Boys vs Jeans N Tings 4 p.m. contest, to determine the Virgin Gorda Football league champions. The championship game is set for 4 p.m. on Sunday, at the Valley Recreation Grounds. The defending champs went through the season unbeaten.

Dion Crabbe to make Indoor season debut

Sprinter Dion Crabbe will make his 2003 Indoor season debut Saturday for the Mississippi State University Bulldogs at the SEC West Challenge in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
