Edwin helps Kent State win MAC Conference opener

Junior forward Jason Edwin had another 13 point game that helped the Kent
State University Golden Flashers men's basketball team wrapped up a
three-game, seven-day road stretch by posting an 83-74 victory against
Eastern Michigan University in both teams' Mid-American Conference opener
on Dec 1.
Edwin who had 24 minutes of court time was 5-for-7 from the floor,
including 3-of-3 from beyond the arc. Kent State improved to 4-0 and 1-0 in
the Mid American Conference.
Kent State's last winning streak of three consecutive games on the road was
Jan. 15-19, 1937. The win was also Kent State Golden Flashers seventh
straight MAC conference opener. The Golden Flashers next game is against
Rhode Island on Dec. 14.
Meanwhile, coming off a 19 point 10 rebound performance, Steve Parillon
followed up with a season's best 22 points and grabbed a game-high 17
rebounds as Henderson State Reddies remained unbeaten by defeating Arkansas
Baptist 79-68 in Little Rock on Dec. 4.
Parillon hit seven of 19 shots from the floor, but eight of 10 from the
foul line, while teammate Tarvoris Uziogwe added 18 points and five
assists. Parillon had a season high 38 minutes on the court. The Reddies
improved to 6-0 in the Gulf South Conference.
