NEW BOOK ON LIBERIA LAUNCHED IN BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS

Noted Washington D.C. attorney Lester Hyman is pictured here at the book launching event held at the HLSCC Atrium on Tuesday while signing a book for HLSCC vice-president Dr. Michael O’Neal (standing, left). The Atrium was filled to capacity by a very attentive audience that included His Excellency Governor Tom Macan and Chief Minister Orlando Smith. After a brief question-answer session many invitees waited in line to get their copy of Hyman’s new book (“US Policy Toward Liberia, 1822-2003 Unintended consequences?”) signed by the author.  Mr. Hyman has great knowledge and expertise of Liberia’s affairs having been a member of a 1990 international observer team, and a United States legal counsel for the Republic of Liberia. His political work at the national level has been as an advisor to eight US presidential candidates. His new book is a comprehensive  analysis of the relations between USA and Liberia.  Mr. Hyman is a member of the Board of Governors of the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College since its inception in 1990.
